Job Description

A Loving Option Adoption Agency is seeking a qualified, compassionate professional to provide contracted adoption home study services. This role supports prospective adoptive families by conducting thorough, ethical, and timely home studies in compliance with state regulations and agency standards.

Contracted, part time, flexible schedule

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct adoption home studies including interviews, home visits, background reviews, and required documentation
- Assess family readiness, strengths, and areas for growth while maintaining a supportive, trauma informed approach
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely written home study reports and updates
- Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, ethical standards, and agency policies
- Collaborate with agency staff to support adoptive families throughout the approval process
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times

Qualifications

- Licensed social worker or licensed professional counselor as required by state regulations
- Experience with adoption, foster care, child welfare, or family services preferred
- Strong interviewing, writing, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
- Reliable transportation and ability to conduct in home visits

Compensation

Paid per home study, based on contract terms

Work Environment

Flexible, remote documentation with in person home visits as required
