Overview
The purpose of the Catholic Information Service (CIS) division is to be the central repository for all catechetical & evangelization resources for the Order. This position will assist in the development of these resources in Spanish, both for use by councils, particularly in Cor, and for other CIS customers - individuals, ministries, parishes, dioceses, etc. The Spanish Evangelization and Cathetical Resources Specialist is responsible for the development of new resources as well as reviewing, updating, and/or translating into Spanish current CIS offerings. The Spanish Evangelization and Cathetical Resources Specialist will also be asked to collaborate with other parts of the Evangelization and Faith Formation division to produce, review, and edit content. This position will report to the Director of Catholic Information Service(CIS).

Core Responsibilities
Develop Spanish resources in support of Knights of Columbus Cor (i.e., small group study/discussion material).
Propose, plan, and develop new evangelization resources in Spanish to meet the needs of parishes and Catholic ministries.
Develop a series of resources on Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego.
Coordinate with other parts of Evangelization & Faith Formation Division to develop material in Spanish in support of broader initiatives.
Review current CIS offerings in Spanish, updating as necessary
Translate CIS material currently available in English but not in Spanish yet
Aid in the development and review of Cor material and content, particularly for Hispanic men.
Develop and review Cor content consistently.
Assist in reviewing Catholic evangelization training materials from outside organizations to determine if they could be used for the Knights of Columbus.
Support of in-person training as needed.
Assist the digital evangelization content team as needed with the development of Spanish content.
Coordinate CIS material with other projects or initiatives throughout the Order.
Assist with the development of an online CIS hub for the housing of all catechetical and evangelization content.
Skills Qualifications
Bilingual: English/Spanish
Must have proven experience developing evangelization & faith formation materials within the Catholic Church in both English and Spanish
Knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church, and the ability to apply that to Knights of Columbus programs
Strong knowledge of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and general Catholic ecclesiastical matters
Ability to juggle different tasks simultaneously and prioritize projects efficiently
Strong organizational and coordination skills to support multi-tasking
Knowledge of Knights of Columbus structure, policies and practices preferred
Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Ability to professionally collaborate across functions within the Knights of Columbus corporate structure
Ability to work onsite 3/4 days in New Haven, CT
Systems/Technical Knowledge:
Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in related field.
Preferred: Master's Degree in related field.
Compensation
The wage range for this role takes into account a broad array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The range below applies as long as the work is performed in Connecticut; the Knights of Columbus reserves the right to adjust the wage range if the position is performed in another location. At the Knights of Columbus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,500 - $120,000.
Authorization to work in the United States is required.
