St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic SchoolELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL:
St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled, and highly qualified educational leader to serve as our next principal. Our school educates over 550 students from preschool through eighth grade. With over 73 years of tradition and effective teamwork, we are looking for a principal who is excited to collaborate with the parish and school leadership team to honor, preserve, and champion the legacy of our school. The ideal candidate will partner with parents and the parish community to educate the whole child, helping our students find God in all things through learning, faith, and service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The next principal of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School will be an innovative and inspiring leader with a deep commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. The ideal candidate must be an active, practicing, and faith-filled Catholic, possess a master's degree in educational administration or a related field, and be eligible for state certification as a Principal in Arizona.
We seek a leader who will:
-Uphold Catholic identity and faithfully lead the school's mission, while sustaining academic excellence with a clear vision for 21st-century teaching and learning.
-Have comprehensive knowledge of preschool through eighth-grade academic and catechetical curriculum, special education programs, technology, and current instructional methodologies.
-Embrace the privilege of nurturing the spiritual formation of students, faculty, and parents.
-Possess excellent communication skills and be a collaborative decision-maker, working closely with the pastor, staff, parents, and the entire parish community.
-Oversee every aspect of the school's ministry, demonstrating strong knowledge of school finance and operations.
-Exhibit well-formed public relations skills and the ability to relate well with children, parents, teachers, and the community at large.
-Promote the school effectively to strengthen enrollment, community awareness, and mission-driven growth.
-Honor the traditions and culture of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School.
-Work collaboratively with the Pastor and School Advisory Board to lead the school positively in its mission.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Salary is negotiable based on experience, education, and credentials. Benefits include employee health insurance, retirement/pension, 403(b) match, sick leave, short-term disability, and social security.
