Job Description

Saint Vincent Academy, founded in 1869 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, who still sponsor it, is Newark's only Catholic, college-preparatory high school exclusively for young women. A Middle States accredited school with over 200 students, an 8-to-1 student/teacher ratio, and a 100% graduation and college acceptance rate, SVA prepares urban women of diverse backgrounds to take part in society through rigorous academics and Gospel teachings.

Partners in Mission is conducting a search for a Director of Advancement, reporting to the President.

ROLE SUMMARY
SVA seeks an experienced fundraising leader to lead its growing philanthropy program. The Director will implement and strengthen the fundraising plan, including major gifts, the annual fund, special events, an ongoing capital campaign, and development operations; oversee dedicated staff; manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors; lead the signature gala and golf outing; and work with the Board of Trustees' Advancement Committee.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Respect for and understanding of Saint Vincent's Catholic identity
- 5+ years of progressive, successful fundraising experience, including major gifts, campaigns, events, and endowments
- Deep commitment to the school's mission, values, and community
- Bachelor's degree required
- Nonprofit or school-based development experience preferred
- Proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT preferred
