Job Description
Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family is seeking a mission-aligned, highly creative, and technically skilled Marketing and Communications Coordinator to lead and implement the school's communications strategy. This position plays a critical role in advancing the school's mission of forming joyful saints through a classical, Catholic education.Position Summary
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for elevating the school's brand, managing digital communications, and producing marketing materials that inspire enrollment, engagement, and philanthropy. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this role collaborates across departments to ensure all communications reflect the school's Catholic identity and are consistent with brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain the school website, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and visually appealing.
• Lead all school social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) with mission-driven and engaging content.
• Plan and execute digital and print marketing campaigns for admissions, advancement, and community events.
• Create and update branded materials including brochures, posters, flyers, signage, and presentations.
• Produce and distribute weekly newsletters, event invitations, and donor communications via email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
• Collaborate on photography, videography, and graphic design to highlight student life, Catholic identity, and academic excellence.
• Monitor analytics and engagement metrics; recommend improvements for reach and impact.
• Maintain and update all admissions portfolio materials to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience; school or non-profit experience preferred.
• Proficiency in social media, email marketing, and website content management (Squarespace preferred).
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with keen attention to detail and visual storytelling.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Canva, and Constant Contact.
• Photography and videography skills is ideal.
• Familiarity with basic A/V equipment for meetings and digital displays.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit for extended periods, stand at events, talk on the phone, and capture photos and video content.
Travel Requirements
• Possibility of traveling to be discussed
Employment Details
• Full-time, in-person position. Some evenings and weekends required for events.
• Salary commensurate with experience.
