Job Description

The National Centre for Padre Pio is recruiting a Visitor Attendant and Group Coordinator to provide a warm welcome and attentive service to the thousands of visitors and pilgrims who come through our doors each year. This is an opportunity to be part of a mission that welcomes people from all over the world to encounter the life and legacy of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina.

Position Description:
The Visitor Attendant and Group Coordinator provides a warm welcome to pilgrims, families, and organized groups while coordinating group visits and tours. Primarily stationed at the Welcome Desk in the Centre Narthex, this employee assists visitors, manages pilgrimage inquiries and arrangements, and supports sacristy preparations, liturgical functions, and special events.

Responsibilities:
Learn opening and closing procedures for facility and be prepared to open and/or close as needed.
Welcome visitors, answer questions, and provide information about Centre facilities, programs, and events.
Coordinate group reservations, itineraries, and correspondence; welcome and accompany visiting groups.
Lead tours and presentations for adult and youth groups.
Maintain accurate visitor and group records.
Request and maintain letters of suitability from all visiting priests from outside the Diocese of Allentown.
Assist with hospitality for programs and special events.
Serve as assistant sacristan, helping prepare for Mass, devotions, and other liturgical functions.
Participate in public prayer and livestreamed devotions as assigned.

Qualifications and Expectations:
Must undergo FBI background check and obtain child safety clearances
Practicing Catholic with an understanding of Catholic worship and devotional practices, as this position assists with sacristy and liturgical duties.
Must obtain a letter of good standing from your parish priest.
High school diploma and valid driver's license. (A bachelor's degree in theology or catechetical certification or training is a plus!)
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication.
A courteous, professional manner and comfort speaking to groups.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Commitment to the Centre's Catholic mission and willingness to learn about Padre Pio, Centre programs, and assistant sacristan duties.
Ability to walk throughout the campus and stand for reasonable periods.
Business casual attire is required.

Work Schedule:
Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday: 8:30 AM-4:30 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
Days off: Wednesday and Thursday
Additional availability may be required for special events, including evening hours.
