Job Description:Christ the King High School is seeking a dynamic and creative art instructor to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. This position focuses on traditional visual arts education, offering students a well-rounded experience in foundational art techniques and visual communication. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about nurturing creativity, technical skills, and artistic expression in young artists
Key Responsibilities:
•Teach courses in traditional art such as drawing, painting, and design
•Design and deliver curriculum aligned with state standards that foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical proficiency
•Create a classroom environment that promotes artistic expression, respect, and collaboration
•Support students in developing art portfolios
•Organize and display student work through exhibitions and showcases
•Maintain and manage classroom art supplies and materials
•Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary and school-wide projects
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in art education, Fine Arts, or a related field
•Strong knowledge of traditional art techniques and materials
•Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
•Dedication to fostering student growth and creativity
Preferred Experience:
•Leading or supporting student clubs such as Art Club, & Yearbook
•Familiarity with AP Art & design or career pathways in the arts
