Job Description
Position Summary:The Director of Ministry Development will lead the effort to expand Trinity House Community Groups nationwide, bringing the family formation and fellowship model to dioceses, parishes, and parish schools across the country, and will also collaborate with the Co-Director in growing the ministry's donor base. The successful applicant will understand the concerns, interests, demographics, and cultures of pastors, diocesan leaders, school principals, and parish staff, and will bring creative ideas and consistent execution to build deep and effective connections with them.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing of Trinity House Community Groups (approximately 75% of time)
- Partner with Co-Director to plan and carry out a national growth plan for the Groups.
- Build on and improve research profiles of target dioceses, parishes, and parish schools to meet and surpass the goals set in the growth plan.
- Generate qualified sales leads through a variety of outreach channels; reply promptly to incoming phone, email, mail, and web inquiries, and record every contact in the CRM.
- Prepare and conduct discovery calls with prospective members.
- Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and webinars for pastors, parish staff, school principals, and diocesan offices (such as family life, evangelization, and Catholic schools).
- Communicate the mission of Trinity House Community, along with the Groups model, services, and results, with clarity, accuracy, and confidence.
- Serve as Trinity House Community's representative at conferences and events, and travel to dioceses, parishes, and schools for meetings and site visits.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns and mailings that build interest in the Groups nationwide.
- Elevate the profile of the Groups by working with diocesan and parish leaders to place Trinity House materials on diocesan/parish websites, e-letters, newspapers, and digital marketing platforms.
- Monitor and report on sales pipelines, conversions, and renewal metrics relative to national expansion goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Development Collaboration with the Co-Director (approximately 25% of time)
- Work with the Co-Director to identify, research, and cultivate individual donors, foundations, and Catholic philanthropic organizations to fund the ministry.
- Identify prospective donors and champions among diocesan, parish, and school contacts, and work with the Co-Director on cultivation.
- Put together briefing materials and talking points before donor meetings.
- Draft donor letters, appeals, proposals, and grant applications, including impact stories from participating parishes, schools, and families.
- Assist in planning and hosting donor events and cultivation gatherings, including those connected to diocesan and parish visits.
- Keep donor and prospect records accurate in the CRM, and help track the fundraising pipelines, gifts, and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, communication, business, non-profit management, or public relations; a comparable field will be considered.
- 2+ years of proven sales experience; passion for networking.
- Passion for family formation and building community.
- Highly personable with strong communication and language skills; organized and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of CRM tools required; HubSpot preferred; proficiency in Office and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with the structures and decision-making of Catholic dioceses, parishes, and parish schools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams and functions.
- Ability to travel nationwide to diocesan, parish, school sites and conferences.
- Donor development experience is a plus.
- Spanish proficiency is a plus.
