Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministry
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, is seeking a passionate and faith-filled Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministry to lead young people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. This full-time position is ideal for someone who sees ministry as a calling and desires to make a lasting impact on the lives of middle school students, high school students, and young adults.
The ideal candidate is a joyful disciple of Jesus Christ whose Catholic faith is active, visible, and deeply rooted in the life of the Church. We are seeking someone with a heart for evangelization, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to inspire young people to grow in faith, discipleship, and service.
Responsibilities
• Lead and grow a vibrant youth and young adult ministry rooted in the Catholic faith
• Coordinate outreach, evangelization, retreats, service projects, mission experiences, catechesis, and fellowship opportunities
• Form, train, and support a Core Team and parish volunteers
• Train and prepare young people to serve as altar servers, lectors, ushers, cantors, etc
• Build relationships with youth and families through parish, school, and community involvement
• Provide support, mentorship, and appropriate referrals to youth and families
• Collaborate with parish staff, Blessed Trinity Academy, catechists, and volunteers
• Promote ministry activities and communicate effectively with youth, parents, and parishioners
• Assess the needs of youth and families and provide periodic ministry reports to parish leadership
• Participate fully in the sacramental and parish life of the Church
Qualifications
• Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church and committed to evangelization
• Bachelor's degree in theology, catechetics, religious education, or related field preferred
• Experience in youth ministry, parish ministry, teaching, or discipleship leadership preferred
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Creative, relational, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
