Job Description
The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is seeking a faithful Catholic artist to provide original illustrations for its Full of Grace Youth Journal, a new apostolic publication dedicated to forming young hearts in the beauty and truth of the Catholic Faith under the mantle of Our Lady.The artwork will be featured in the Youth Guild's publication "Full of Grace." The Youth Guild website is located at YouthGuild.org, where much of the artwork can be found.
Responsibilities:
--Produce 3-4 original illustrations per month for the Full of Grace Youth Journal (print and digital formats).
--Be available, as needed, to create additional illustrations during major publishing cycles.
--Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure illustrations reflect the Shrine's Marian mission and the Catholic imagination.
--Submit artwork on schedule and in accordance with project guidelines.
--AI (Artificial Intelligence) Art is not acceptable and will not be used.
Qualifications:
--Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church.
Strong portfolio demonstrating skill in illustration (traditional or digital media).
--Ability to depict Marian themes, Catholic devotion, Scripture, liturgical life, and the beauty of virtue.
--Capacity to work collaboratively with the Shrine's editorial and communications team.
--Flexibility to accommodate occasional additional requests beyond the regular monthly schedule.
Contractual terms:
The Shrine will own all rights to the artwork, which will be specified in the contract. However, the artist will receive credit for the artwork on the Youth Guild's website, not in the printed publications. If you desire to retain the rights to your artwork, please do not apply.
