Job Description
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:• Assisting with overseeing and implementing the middle school and high school youth ministry programs, and the Confirmation teams program.
• Assist in expansion of programs.
• Assisting with outreach, evangelization, and incarnational ministry efforts.
• General administrative support for the youth ministry and confirmation teams programs.
• Assist with planning and implementing training, formation, and fellowship for youth ministry and Confirmation teams volunteers.
• Assist with advertising, including running and creating regular content for youth ministry social media pages, writing the weekly newsletters, and creating flyers and mailings.
• Contribute to visioning and planning for the future of the youth ministry and confirmation teams programs.
Qualifications:
• Possess 1-3 years of experience in youth and/or young adult ministry in a Catholic Church with an emphasis on outreach and relational ministry. This can include volunteering in a parish ministry, missionary work, leadership in a campus ministry, or any other experience which demonstrates a commitment and heart for this kind of work.
• a bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of professional experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
• A strong working knowledge Microsoft Office programs, Google, and a variety of social media communication platforms. In particular, Excel, Canva, and Instagram.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel (retreats, Workcamp, conferences, etc.) is required.
• Comfort working in an office environment
• A strong ability to effectively communicate with all ages, including youth, young adults, parents, and older parish members.
• Ability to independently facilitate programs and events
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills are a must, including project management and database management.
• Ability to align ideas and events with the vision for the parish as set by the Pastor.
• Must have a mature faith and prayer life and a commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
