The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative officer of Chesterton Academy of the Sacred Heart, responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the school in partnership with the Board of Directors and the Headmaster. This role oversees marketing, development, operations, and financial strategy to ensure the school's long-term sustainability and fidelity to its Catholic, classical liberal arts mission.
Job Duties
• Manage the daily operations including wide range of school administration tasks such as finance, human resources, facilities management, public relations, and event planning. Ensure smooth and effective administrative processes and communications.
• Supervise and support the fundraising and recruiting efforts.
• Create marketing and recruiting materials to promote enrollment growth and enhance the visibility of the Academy's mission.
• Plan and coordinate school events.
• Collaborate with the finance team to establish and maintain sound financial procedures.
• Manage contracts and vendor relationships.
• Maintain marketing, fundraising, and financial databases.
• Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors and Headmaster to identify, create, and implement strategic plans that sustain business objectives and advance the mission of the Academy.
• Oversee and facilitate long-range strategic planning.
• Perform public relations activities that maintain positive communication with key constituents
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• Self-starter capabilities with proven leadership and project management skills
• Strong communication skills - with ability to articulate the mission and value of the school to benefactors, prospective students, community, and stakeholders
Top Candidates will also
• Have 5 years of experience in an academic or other professional office setting
• Have demonstrated ability in financial planning, fundraising, and operational management.
• Be a practicing Catholic in good standing, with a deep appreciation for and commitment to the Catholic, classical liberal arts education model championed by Chesterton Academy.
This position can be part-time or full-time.
