Join a Mission That Matters
Kentucky Right to Life is seeking a passionate, mission-driven professional to help expand a culture where every life is protected, valued, and loved.
This is more than a communications role-it is an opportunity to shape hearts, influence culture, and give voice to truth through powerful storytelling, media engagement, and mission-centered messaging.
We are looking for someone with a heart for the pro-life, pro-woman movement who is gifted in communications, storytelling, and media outreach, and who desires to make a meaningful impact.

Position Overview
The Communications & Strategic Outreach Coordinator plays a central role in advancing the voice and visibility of Kentucky Right to Life. This individual will lead content creation, expand media presence, and support donor communications-ensuring that every message reflects the dignity of life and the compassion at the heart of our mission.
This role works closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to amplify messaging, strengthen outreach, and communicate impact with clarity and purpose.

Key Responsibilities
Storytelling & Content Creation
• Craft compelling stories that highlight the dignity of life and the impact of our work
• Develop content for email campaigns, social media, website, and outreach materials
• Capture and share real-life stories from events and community engagement

Media & Digital Outreach
• Assist in expanding media relationships and outreach efforts
• Support interviews, press engagement, and public messaging
• Help grow and manage Kentucky Right to Life's digital presence
• Help expand Kentucky Right to Life's digital voice-including the "Woman to Woman" podcast-as a dynamic platform for storytelling, education, and meaningful cultural engagement

Donor Communications (Support Role)
• Write donor appeals, thank-you letters, and impact reports
• Support fundraising campaigns through messaging and storytelling
• Help communicate mission impact to donors and stakeholders

Events & Mission Promotion
• Support promotion of key initiatives, including women-centered outreach, educational programs, and advocacy events
• Help ensure consistent, mission-aligned messaging before, during, and after events

Messaging & Leadership Alignment
This role works closely with the Executive Director and leadership to help carry and amplify the voice of Kentucky Right to Life across all communications platforms.
• Draft talking points, statements, and messaging for media, public appearances, podcast content, and events
• Ensure all external communications reflect and align with the mission, voice, and values of Kentucky Right to Life
• Support consistency in messaging across all platforms by collaborating with the Executive Director and leadership team in preparing public communications

Qualifications
• Strong commitment to the pro-life, pro-woman mission
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Experience in communications, media, marketing, or a related field
• Ability to communicate sensitive topics with clarity, compassion, and conviction
• Familiarity with social media and digital communication platforms
• Highly organized, creative, and able to manage multiple projects
• Collaborative, self-motivated, and mission-driven

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field preferred
• Equivalent professional experience in communications, media, storytelling, nonprofit work, or public relations will be strongly considered
• Experience in content creation, writing, or media production is highly valued
• Familiarity with advocacy, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations is a plus
What We're Looking For
• A natural and skilled storyteller who can connect hearts and minds
• Someone who can reflect and carry the voice of the mission with authenticity
• A team member who takes initiative and thrives in a purpose-driven environment
• A communicator who sees not just tasks-but impact

Important Note About This Role

About the Employer

Kentucky's oldest ProLife, ProWoman, ProFamily organization.
Since 1974 Kentucky Right to Life has existed for one reason: to restore legal protection to those members of our human family who are threatened by abortion, infanticide, or euthanasia. We hold one common belief: That every human being has an inalienable right to life, a life that is precious and must be protected. Kentucky Right to Life seeks to be a voice for the voiceless and a resource for those facing difficult circumstances, offering hope, support, and life-affirming solutions.
With chapters throughout Kentucky, our non-profit organization is in the forefront of educating citizens. We are a mission and education ministry focused on restoring legal protection to the weak and vulnerable, particularly the unborn.
