Additional Information
Catholics United for the Faith (CUF) was founded in 1968 "to unite the Faithful from all walks of life, so they might support, advance, and defend the Teaching Office of the Church." CUF is an international membership organization with chapters in North America and New Zealand. Our Information Services department has operated a toll-free hotline for 30 years to answer any question about the Catholic Church. CUF continues to work with Ignatius Press to publish and distribute its well-known Faith and Life catechism series. Faith and Life is available in print, online, and by e-book. CUF continues to publish its newsletter, Lay Witness. The Evangelism Projects Manager is an expansion position.
A main focus of CUF at the present time is to expand its apostolic activities to provide more direct outreach to members and Catholics in need. The Evangelism Projects Manager (EPM) position is intended to meet that need. CUF projects this position to develop into a supervisory role. The EPM will work directly with the President to pursue and implement special projects aimed at advancing the apostolic work of CUF. Those projects will require familiarity with research techniques and result in an expansion of resources and distribution materials. Basic computer skills are necessary. In addition, the EPM will be expected to visit Chapters, help present at days-of-recollection/retreats for members and be available for various speaking engagements with audiences both large and small.
The position requires the EPM to work from our Hopedale, OH office, located 18 miles from Steubenville. The office is shared with The Saint Joseph Foundation (stjosephcanonlaw.com).
CUF is seeking someone who is looking to make this a career. The need to evangelize Catholics in a personal encounter using contemporary methods is essential to the life of the Church and the advancement of her Mission. That's what CUF-and this position-is all about.
