Job Description

St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic School in Medford, a growing school community with approximately 350 students, is seeking one Full Time Bookkeeper for the school.

The School Bookkeeper is a key school position and is a steward for the financial and physical resources for the school. This position reports to the School Principal and Business Administrator, and is responsible for managing the school's financial recordkeeping, entering tuition payments in the FACTS system and tracking throughout the school year, creating purchase orders, ordering school supplies, reconciling school bank accounts, overseeing vendor contracts and recording & tracking school expenses, support budgeting, audit, and other business office activities. The School Bookkeeper collaborates closely with school leadership, staff, parents, and vendors to ensure accurate financial reporting and the efficient operation of the school.

Education and Qualified Candidates
Bachelor's degree in accounting/business/finance is preferred. Work experience in accounting with successful coursework in Business/Accounting may be considered in lieu of a degree. Qualified candidates should have 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, strong organizational and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel capabilities, and experience with financial recordkeeping and reconciliations.
