President -
Reports To: Superintendent of Catholic Schools
Collaborates With: Administrative Leadership Team
Supervises: Principal and Advancement Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time

Position of the President: Discipleship centered leader who is outward-facing focused on effective planning, relationship-building, and resource development for advancing the school's Catholic mission and future.

Description: The President of Bishop Carroll Catholic High School serves as the spiritual leader and chief executive, responsible for advancing the mission of Catholic education through faith formation, embodiment of stewardship, commitment to strategic planning and innovative initiatives, insurance of sufficient resources, alumni relations, parent involvement, sound fiscal management, academic excellence, and community engagement as rooted in the Diocese's model of stewardship as a way of life.
This leader embodies Catholic values, demonstrates pastoral sensitivity, and provides visionary direction for the school's spiritual, academic, operational, and financial vitality.

Qualifications:
• Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church, demonstrating a life of faith, service, and moral integrity.
• Master's degree or higher in educational or business leadership.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of successful experience in administration or leadership.
• Proven leadership ability to inspire faith, manage personnel, and guide mission-driven institutions.
• Understanding of stewardship principles and ability to cultivate a culture of gratitude and generosity.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Apostolic Ministry of Evangelization
• Serve as a spiritual and moral leader of the school, ensuring all programs and policies reflect the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
• Foster a vibrant Catholic culture rooted in discipleship, prayer, and service.
• Frame stewardship as a privilege that demands excellence through close relationships.
• Lead by example as a practicing Catholic, modeling faith and witness in all decisions and relationships.
Strategic Planning
• Develop a comprehensive strategic plan marked with clarity of continued growth in faith, academics, enrollment, and facilities.
• Define clear goals, metrics, and priorities for faith formation, academics, advancement, enrollment, facilities and finances.
Governance and Leadership
• Affirm, hold, and respect leadership team's individual areas of assignment and defined responsibility.
• Support the work of the leadership team, while developing the independence of each member to advance the mission of the school.
• Establish a collaborative and accountable culture that empowers bold and effective leadership from all.
• Prioritize communication at all levels to be professional, current and transparent.
Personnel Management
• Intentional formation of self whereby performance of tasks and forward vision are defined, supported, and adhered to.
• Systemize the policies of the school's operations to ensure fidelity to mission; support for justice, equality and equity.
• Prioritize development of leadership skills for all members of the Leadership team.
Advancement
• Foster advancement to become a core strategic engine.
• Build a comprehensive advancement plan with annual fund growth, alumni engagement, major gifts, and capital campaign readiness.
• Collaborate with the Advancement staff, to create a culture of philanthropy/investment that inspires alumni donors to fuel a future.
• Ensure transparent, mission-driven fiscal management aligned with diocesan standards

Community and Pastoral Engagement
• Serve as the primary ambassador for Bishop Carroll in the community, building relationships with parishes, parents, alumni, and benefactors.
• Maintain open, respectful communication with parents and stakeholders, promoting collaboration and shared responsibility for the school's success.
• Uphold a compassionate and pastoral approach in all interactions, addressing challenges with prayerful discernment and fairness.

• The President will lead Bishop Carroll Catholic High School into a new era of faith, excellence, and community vitality. Rooted in the diocesan stewardship way of life, this leader will unite faith formation, academic growth, and joyful discipleship into every aspect of school life.
• By fostering collaboration among faculty, families, alumni, and parishes, the President will cultivate a thriving culture where students encounter Christ daily, teachers are supported and inspired, and the wider community takes pride in the mission of Catholic education.
