Position Summary:
Our Lady of Grace Catholic School is seeking a licensed and mission-driven School Guidance Counselor to join our team for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional with a passion for working with children in a Christ-centered environment and a commitment to supporting their academic, social-emotional, and spiritual development.
Key Responsibilities
Teach developmentally appropriate guidance lessons in Preschool through Grade 8, supporting academic, career, and social development
Promote student success through preventive services and responsive support for identified needs
Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, coordinating with external professionals when appropriate
Implement a comprehensive school counseling program, including a monthly guidance newsletter, parent education, and an annual Middle School Career Day
Lead the implementation of Openlight Media's Education in Virtue program to foster a school-wide culture of virtue
Maintain accurate records, ensure confidentiality, and uphold ethical counseling standards
Serve on the Faculty Leadership Team, including supporting meeting agendas and minutes
Contribute positively to the faith-filled culture of our school
Qualifications
Valid Professional School Counselor License, LPC, LMHC, or LCSW (required)
Experience working with children in a school setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency in planning and delivering engaging lessons using technology and cross-curricular strategies
