Middle School Social Studies Teacher (Grades 6-8)
St. Bartholomew Catholic School
Columbus, Indiana

Full-Time | 2025-2026 School Year

St. Bartholomew Catholic School, a dynamic and faith-filled learning community serving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, is seeking a passionate and qualified Middle School Social Studies Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will inspire a love of history, civics, and global awareness in students while integrating Catholic values into daily instruction. The teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging social studies lessons aligned with Indiana state standards and the mission of Catholic education.

Key Responsibilities
*Teach Social Studies to grades 6-8, including topics such as U.S. history, world history, geography, government, and current events.

*Create a classroom environment conducive to spiritual, academic, and social-emotional growth.

*Incorporate technology, interactive activities, and project-based learning.

*Collaborate with fellow faculty members on interdisciplinary and school-wide initiatives.

*Communicate effectively with parents, students, and administration.

*Model Catholic values and participate in school liturgies, prayer, and service initiatives.

Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred).

*Valid Indiana teaching license or eligibility to obtain one.

*Experience teaching middle school students preferred.

*Practicing Catholic preferred but not required.

*Commitment to Catholic education and student-centered instruction.
