Job Description
Finance Administrator (Full-Time)St. Bartholomew Catholic Church seeks a detail-oriented and mission-driven Finance Administrator to oversee the parish's day-to-day financial operations. This role supports sound stewardship through accurate financial reporting, budgeting, payroll support, and compliance with Archdiocesan and legal requirements. The Finance Administrator partners closely with the Business Manager, parish leadership, and ministry leaders to ensure financial transparency, accountability, and alignment with the mission of the Church.
Key Responsibilities
• Support parish financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, payroll processing, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and variance analyses for leadership and the Finance Committee.
• Assist with stewardship collections, donor acknowledgments, fundraising initiatives, and annual appeals.
• Support long term financial planning, capital projects, and annual financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Archdiocesan financial policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
• Provide financial support and guidance to staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders as needed.
Qualifications
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting; nonprofit or church experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to ethical financial practices.
• Ability to support and uphold the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Additional Information
• This position is primarily on site and may require occasional evening or weekend availability.
• Background screening and Archdiocesan Child Safety Training are required.
