Part-Time Remote Bookkeeper (Nonprofit Pro-Life Research Organization)Engagement Details
Type: Part-time, contract (1099)
Hours: approx 20-25hrs/month
Schedule: Flexible
Location: Remote
Start: June 1
Reporting to: Executive Vice President
Responsibilities
Manage all core bookkeeping functions for a nonprofit organization, including:
Accounts payable/receivable (vendor payments)
Bank/credit card account management and monthly reconciliations
Accurate transaction coding to appropriate programs, grants, and cost centers
Maintain chart of accounts and ensure consistent bookkeeping practices
Maintain organized digital records (receipts, invoices, contracts, backup documentation)
Prepare and deliver quarterly financial reports, including (as applicable):
Statement of Activities (P&L) by program and organization-wide
Statement of Financial Position (Balance Sheet)
Support year-end readiness:
Assist with audit/review preparation and provide schedules/documentation/reconciliations
Required Qualifications
3+ years bookkeeping experience, including nonprofit fund accounting exposure
Demonstrated experience producing quarterly financial reports
Proficiency with common accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online/Desktop or similar)
Experience with tools such as Bill.com, Excel/Google Sheets
Strong understanding of reconciliations, internal controls, and documentation standards
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and reliability with deadlines
