Director Youth Ministry

Job Description

Resurrection Parish is seeking an energetic, faithful, creative, and relational Catholic to help us build a vibrant ministry for post-Confirmation teens, college students, and young adults.

At the heart of this ministry is our Sunday 7:00 PM Mass. We are looking for someone who will be present with young people, get to know them by name, listen to them, invite them into parish life, and create opportunities for faith, friendship, prayer, service, leadership, and mission.

We are not simply looking for someone to organize events. We are looking for someone who loves Jesus Christ, loves the Catholic Church, and has a heart for accompanying young people.

Responsibilities include:

Building community around the Sunday 7:00 PM Mass
Developing gatherings for teens and young adults
Creating opportunities for prayer, formation, retreats, service, and social activities
Engaging post-Confirmation teens and helping them remain connected to parish life
Developing young leaders and a Youth & Young Adult Core Team
Recruiting and mentoring volunteers
Connecting young people with the wider life and ministries of the parish
Using social media and creative communication to reach young people

Musical ability is a significant plus. Candidates who sing or play guitar, piano, or another instrument and can help engage young people through prayer and worship are especially encouraged to apply.

Don't have extensive youth ministry experience?

We are willing to invest in the right person. If you are a practicing Catholic with a heart for young people, a willingness to learn, and a desire to grow in ministry, Resurrection Parish can provide training, mentoring, and ongoing formation.

We are looking for someone who believes young people are not simply the future of the Church-they are an important part of the Church today.
