Director of Youth Evangelization

Job Description

The Director of Youth Evangelization (DYE) oversees the ongoing faith formation of the youth and young adults at the Basilica of Saint Mary. The main focus is on growing and supporting our Youth Group for kids in middle school and High School. In addition, the DYE oversees the sacramental preparation of children enrolled in CCD. The DYE also supports volunteers who do outreach to the young adults of our parish. The DYE reports directly to the Rector. The DYE will have occasional meetings with the Rector and Parochial Vicar to discuss ongoing goals, plans, and programs. The DYE will need to have their own children (if any) involved in the faith formation of the parish through St. Mary's School, CCD, and/or Youth Group. This is a full-time position. This position requires working Sundays for CCD and Youth Group. Compensation varies based on experience and benefits, beginning at $40,000.
