Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:• Under the supervision of the Campus Minister, the administrative assistance is a person of faith who assumes responsibility for the leadership and management of the Christian Service program; maintains detailed and accurate records of the Christian Service program as required by the school.
• The assistant is placed in the middle of our Center for Mission and Ministry where a lot of students come to hang out. It is important to supervise these students and be willing to listen to them at times.
• Christian Service - Responsible for entering volunteer opportunities in our service software, MobileServe. Approving hours in software. Tracking necessary hours and emailing students/parents of progress.
• Intense involvement in the sacramental preparation for our students. This includes gathering records, communication with our parish of record and their current parish, with the students, Godparents, and parents. The ability to teach a make-up sacrament prep class is important.
• Support the Campus Minister in the program for seniors. This includes their senior goal setting and their end of year presentation that highlights how they have grown in reverence, respect, and responsibility as a saint. This program is currently called Capstones.
• Assist in retreat planning for our students.
• Ensure that the chapel is well stocked, cleaned, and maintained. This includes the sacramental items that travel around campus for all school masses, masses in the Blackbox theatre, and Our Lady of Grace Garden.
• Assist with training for altar servers and lectors. Assist with scheduling priests for masses and reconciliation services.
• Assist with power point presentations for mass.
• Assist the Campus Minister and the Chaplain with organization and scheduling as needed.
• We assist the school in the mission of evangelizing. By bearing witness to Christ, His Church and the teachings of our Catholic faith. The assistance participates in continual professional development; maintains detailed and accurate records as required by the school.
• This position requires the ability to effectively communicate via phone and email; ensure that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner; flexibility, forward thinking and managing deadlines; willingness to seek the technology best-practices and implement; and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude are expected.
• Awaken the giftedness of the Holy Spirit by tapping into students' passions and connecting those passions to address significant needs in the community.
• Summer and Spring Break Mission/immersion Trips will be organized through NDP and by outside organizations.
• Establishes positive school-community relationships; continues professional development; performs any other job-related tasks deemed necessary and/or assigned.

EVALUATION
• The performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures developed by the Diocese of Phoenix and Notre Dame Preparatory leadership.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Twelve-month employee, full-time, salaried. The Leadership Committee under the guidance of the Diocese of Phoenix establishes base salaries and stipends.
• A schedule of mandatory days and extra responsibilities is provided prior to the start of a new school year.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
• Must be practicing Catholic (Bona-Fide Occupational Qualifications - BOFQ) and be willing to sign a Profession of Faith.
• Must be a Certified Catechist able to teach RCIA.
• A high school diploma is required.
• Experience as a sacristan would be helpful,
• Received Safe Environment Training and signed the Code of Conduct. AZ Fingerprint clearance completed. All completed prior to the start date.
• Must sign and commit to NDP professional conduct policy and confidentiality agreement.
