Job Description

St. Gabriel Classical Academy (SGCA) is seeking elementary (2-4th grade) for the 2025-26 school year. SGCA is a Preschool (Montessori) through 8th grade elementary school (Classical approach) located in Colorado Springs, CO and was established in August 2022. We moved into our 60,000 square ft. brand new building in August 2024. Our website is https://stgclassical.com/

Job Title: 2nd -4th Grade Teacher(s)
Date position will become available: August 1, 2025
Salary range: $38,000-$45,000
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS from accredited college or university
Hold a valid Colorado State Teacher's License endorsed in area of assignment - e.g., Elementary
Education, Math and/or Science, etc. or working towards certification
Additionally, candidate must have a passing CO PLACE or PRAXIS II in content area
Demonstrated expertise in subject area
Performance Responsibilities:
Teach in a manner consistent with the academic, social, moral and religious teachings of the Catholic
Church
Must be a practicing Catholic, in good standing with the Church, and willing to take an Oath to the
Magisterium
Experience or willingness to learn the Classical approach
Use a variety of appropriate teaching strategies, instructional materials/activities, and teaching modes to
accommodate a variety of learning styles
Create a positive classroom environment by teaching and modeling Catholic values
Ability to guide learning to increase student achievement using the school's selected curriculum
Committed to lifelong learning
Effective classroom management skills
Excellent personal and written communication skills
Energetic, creative, innovative, flexible
Must work well within the Unified Catholic School system
Summary of Additional Expectations:
Attend all meetings and/or trainings as required outside of normal contractual days
