Job Title: Director of Music

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in music or closely related field with minimum of five years' experience within a comparable position
• Comprehensive knowledge of Catholic liturgical documents and music within liturgy
• Proficient skills in organ (primary) and piano
• Advanced skills in choral conducting and comprehensive knowledge of choral repertoire
• Strong managerial skills and budgeting skills
• Highly organized and proficient in computer, electronic, and musical software
The Director of Music serves as the principal organist and choir director of the parish. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and developing all aspects of the music ministry. The Director of Music reports to the Pastor.

Responsibilities:
• Select music for all parish liturgies and para-liturgical services
• Provide oversight of musical staff members
• Prepare and distribute monthly cantor/organist schedule for weekend and holy day masses, and other events (Baptisms, senior luncheon)
• Oversee the production of worship sheets/programs when necessary for parish liturgies and funerals
• Primary conductor of adult choral programs
• Provide consultation and musical services for funerals and weddings
• Maintain music library and database
• Oversee maintenance of musical instruments
• Hire outside musicians as needed for liturgies and concerts

Instruments:
• W. Zimmer & Sons, Opus 415, 1988 two manual pipe organ.
• Baldwin Grand piano.
• 1950 one manual tracker chapel organ.
• Yamaha P22 piano.
