PK Aide

Job Description

St. Mary School is seeking a faith-filled preschool aide for the 2025-2026 school year. The teacher is responsible for supporting and upholding the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school, acting as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church and facilitating a positive, effective, and welcoming environment.

Located close to the Smoky Mountains, St. Mary's is a parish school of the Diocese of Knoxville and has a Nashville Dominican Sister as its principal.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will:
-be an actively practicing Catholic who has a desire to share the faith with students.
-be committed to academic excellence and a willingness to meet the educational needs of the individual student.
-experience in utilizing technology in the classroom for teaching and learning in an age-appropriate manner.
-work in partnership with teachers, specialists, support staff, and administration.
-communicate effectively with students, families, staff members and the community.
-preferably a BA/BS degree in early childhood education
-have appropriate educational experiences.
