Job Description
St Albert of Trapani Catholic Church, Houston, is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled, and visionary Director of Mission Advancement & Creative Communications. This individual will play a key role in shaping how our parish shares the Gospel, connects with parishioners and visitors, and promotes our ministries-especially our marriage apostolate, the Lumina School of Love. Our mission inspires us, and we are looking for someone who shares this inspiration.The ideal candidate for this role is not just a creative storyteller, strategic thinker, and tech-savvy communicator, but also someone deeply passionate about the Catholic faith. This passion, combined with the skills in utilizing modern media, will enable them to inspire, inform, and invite others into our faith.

Key Responsibilities
1. Branding & Marketing
• Lead the rebranding of the parish's visual identity and messaging.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy.
• Ensure consistency across all platforms (print, digital, video, social media).
2. Digital Evangelization & Media Production
• Create compelling content (videos, graphics, blogs, reels) that communicates the Gospel in a modern, engaging way.
• Manage and grow the parish's presence on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
• Produce and edit high-quality videos for liturgical seasons, ministries, and testimonials.
3. Ministry & Resource Promotion
• Strategically market the Lumina School of Love and other marriage formational resources to local and national audiences.
• Collaborate with diocesan offices and other parishes to expand reach and impact.
• Design promotional materials for events, retreats, and workshops.
4. Publications & Communications
• Design and publish the weekly parish bulletin and monthly newsletter.
• Maintain and update the parish website with fresh, relevant content.
• Coordinate email campaigns and parish-wide announcements.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Theology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in communications, media production, or marketing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro), Canva, and video editing tools.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Deep understanding of Catholic theology, liturgy, and culture.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, and volunteers.
Preferred
• Experience working in a parish, diocesan, or nonprofit ministry setting.
• Familiarity with website management (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace).
• Knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights) to track engagement.
