Job Description
HOSPITALITY ASSISTANTPosition Description
The Hospitality Assistant supports the on-site operations of St. Mary of Providence Retreat Center and Senior Living Program. This multifaceted role primarily involves assisting and supervising with food service and housekeeping and offering assistance with our senior living programming.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is practical, adaptable, and a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills. A commitment to the mission of the Daughters of St. Mary of Providence.
Responsibilities:
The Hospitality Assistant contributes to operations across the following key areas:
1. Hospitality
Greet and welcome retreat leaders upon arrival.
Ensure the needs of all retreat guests are met with care and professionalism.
Provide a welcoming orientation to each retreat group at the beginning of their stay.
Meet regularly with the Director to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming appearance of all facilities and storage areas.
2. Housekeeping
Clean and prepare facilities prior to each retreat event.
Perform laundry services as needed.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness and supply levels throughout each event.
3. Food Service
Coordinate with the Director and Retreat Reservation Coordinator to schedule dietary staff.
Assist in planning and preparing menus in collaboration with the Director.
Prepare and serve meals to retreat guests with attention to dietary needs and quality.
Clean and sanitize dishes, kitchen, cafeteria line, and dining room after each meal.
Step into a supervisory role in the food service department during the absence of the designated Food Service Supervisor.
Follow and enforce all applicable State Health Codes and food safety regulations.
4. Senior Living Programming Support
Provide support to the Senior Living Program as directed.
Respond to phone calls related to the Senior Living Program, as needed and directed by the Director.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and operations of the Retreat Center and Senior Living Program.
