Job Description
The Mission Support Specialist position serves as the primary point of contact for the Pastoral Office. Their role will be to assist in donor relations and donation recording, parish administrative duties and record keeping, overseeing the interior of the Pastoral Office, and welcoming visitors with a spirit of hospitality. As an integral part of this evangelical and formative mission, the Mission Support Specialist will be in the center of a very dynamic community of motivated Catholic leaders who are transforming the culture in the grace of Jesus Christ.This work includes but is not limited to these tasks:
Database upkeep and donor relationship:
• Processes donations made to Notre Dame with precision and strict confidentiality, ensuring prompt acknowledgment receipts sent to benefactor.
• Oversees the mission advancement database, updating contact information, and works to improve the process of maintaining accurate information.
• Monitors electronic giving and contacts lapsed donors to update information.
• Collaborates with staff to create and maintain online giving forms for donations and mission advancement events.
• Coordinates with Finance Manager to reconcile with financial deposits.
• Participates in organizing annual parish registration, helping to ensure current contact information is recorded.
Parish Office hospitality and administration:
• Schedules Mass Intentions and takes payment for Mass stipends.
• Oversees parish office and parish hall inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
• Checks parish voicemail and responds to inquiries, forwarding to appropriate staff members when needed.
• Sorts office mail and coordinates mail pickups.
Other duties:
• Serves as support staff for registration and logistics for special events.
• Miscellaneous data entry.
Qualifications
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks while managing deadlines.
• Works well within a team environment.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Superior attention to detail.
• Highly self-motivated.
• Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043);
• Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals.
