Job Description
Opening: Pastoral Associate for Pastoral CareDescription: St Albert the Great Catholic Parish is seeking a Full-Time Pastoral Associate focused on overseeing the pastoral needs of the Parish. This position will report to the Pastor.
Responsibilities include: Coordination of care and support for the physical and emotional needs of the parish. This individual will coordinate the care and support for the physical and emotional needs of the parishioners including: those who are sick, homebound, hospitalized, bereaved, and the nursing homes that we serve in collaboration with the parish clergy. This individual would be present to parishioners with end-of-life transition needs, funeral planning, bereavement help, and follow-up support group assistance. This position also oversees the numerous internal outreach ministries already in place, as well as creating new support opportunities. Finally, this individual would assist with wedding preparation, coordinating wedding rehearsals, closely working with the Director of Worship for special masses, budgeting, and attending the semi-annual Parish council meetings.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have a Masters Degree in Pastoral Ministry or a Bachelors in a related field with the intent of achieving a Master's degree. Applicant must have proficiency using Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, be a team player, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Finally, the ideal candidate would also have 5 plus years of experience in pastoral ministry. We intend to offer a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience.
