Job Description

St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic School, a vibrant Catholic school community dedicated to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and the development of the whole child, is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and faith-filled Elementary Teacher-Minister to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing classroom environment that supports academic achievement and spiritual growth in alignment with Catholic values. RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and Implement Engaging Lesson Plans Aligned with Diocese of Toledo Curriculum to Meet the Educational Needs of Students
Teach a Range of Subjects, Including Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
Incorporate Catholic Teachings, Prayers, and Traditions into Daily Lessons and Activities
Assess and Monitor Students' Academic Progress to Identify Areas of Student Strength and Weakness in Order to Provide Individualized Support as Needed
Use Standardized Testing to Evaluate Student Progress and Adjust Instruction Accordingly
Participate in Outside School Activities, Events, and Religious Ceremonies as Necessary
Able to Relate and Develop Rapport with Students
Work Closely and Collaborate with the St. Mary of the Assumption Teachers, Staff, and Administration to Enhance the Educational Experience for All Students
Maintain High Quality Academics and Expectations in a Positive, Inclusive, and Respectful Environment
Communicate Regularly with Parents About Student Progress and Behavior
Uphold the Mission and Values of the School in All Professional Conduct
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree with an approved teacher preparation program from an accredited institution OR Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with an approved Ohio alternative teacher certification
Ohio Teaching License or Non-Tax License appropriate to the assignment
FBI/BCI Background Check
Complete Ohio Department of Education and Diocese of Toledo Requirements
