Job Description

Kindergarten Tutor for Homeschooling Co-op in Camarillo, CA
From January 5, 2026, to June 5, 2026. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Professional Qualifications
Kindergarten experience or 1st Grade teaching experience required.
Experience with Singapore Math and/or proficiency in Spanish are a plus.

Kindergarten Instruction
Create and implement lesson plans.
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in subjects aligned to the curriculum.
Adapt teaching methods and educational materials to meet the diverse learning needs, strengths, and weaknesses of each student.
Delegate tasks to the teacher aide as appropriate.

Classroom Management
Foster a positive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and effectively communicate to parents their areas for improvement.
Speak with a warm but firm tone when managing behavior.
Follow through on consequences fairly and consistently with a joyful and positive attitude.

Collaboration
Work well with other teachers and administrators to share best practices and support students.

Personal Qualifications
Cheerful, warm, patient, yet structured and orderly. Good observational skills, punctual, keeps class organized and on task.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
