Job Description

This part-time time position (25-30 hours) offers a unique opportunity for someone passionate about youth ministry and Catholic faith formation to make a significant impact in the parish community.The Coordinator of Youth Ministry will play an essential role in helping youth grades 6th-12th and their families grow in their faith and become active participants in parish life.The coordinator will work closely with the director, support staff and volunteers. At least 2-5 years experience in ministry would be recommended.

St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church is in McHenry County in Illinois in the Rockford Diocese. The Parish has approximately 3100 registered families with a Catholic Elementary School. St. Margaret Mary's has a Family Formation Program for public school families. Our focus is the whole family formation where families participate with their children. First Holy Communion is in 2nd grade. Confirmation is in high school and starts in 9th grade. Youth Ministry has middle and high school ministries. HS Ministry includes HS nights, Steubenville Youth Conference, Peer Ministry Team and retreats. MS has lock-ins, retreats and Adventure Days. Youth Ministry is a vibrant part of our parish and brings the youth closer to God and the desire to be true disciples in the parish, at school, community.
