Job Description
Executive DirectorThe vision of Vineyard Schools consists of two single-sex K-8 schools within a single organization that share a common mission of providing classical education and character formation.
In order to execute the vision of Vineyard Schools, the Board of Directors is seeking an Executive Director who will take on various business-related responsibilities. During the start-up phase, the Executive Director will partner closely with the Headof School and defer to the Head of School on all matters relating to faculty, admissions, curriculum, and school culture. Both individuals will report directly to the Board of Directors.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
1. Fundraising: Donor relations and fundraising to support operating costs and the development of the Vineyard Schools campus.
2. Property: Secure, prepare, and maintain interim location for the school. Oversee long-term property search and campus development.
3. Marketing: Oversee marketing operations including the school's website, collateral, info nights, and other events to support enrollment targets.
4. Financial Management: Develop an annual operating budget for board approval including recommendations for staff compensation, benefits programs, and tuition rates.
5. Administration: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations; maintain all relevant records; procure all necessary systems and equipment related to the operations of the school.
