Position Overview
Preschool Teacher - Classical, Catholic & Montessori-Inspired Program
Star of the Sea Preschool is seeking a warm, dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. This position will lead our Montessori-inspired classroom activities while supporting a classical, Catholic education rooted in truth, beauty, and goodness. We are a faith-centered preschool serving young children through a balanced approach of hands-on Montessori-inspired learning, classical foundations, and Catholic formation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and prepare Montessori-inspired activities (Practical Life, Sensorial, early academics)
- Support a classroom environment aligned with Classical education principles (order, beauty, language development, foundational skills)
- Foster children's social, emotional, and spiritual growth
- Maintain a calm, organized, and engaging prepared environment
- Collaborate with the teaching team and administration
- Model and support Catholic values in daily classroom life
Qualifications:
- Experience working with preschool-aged children (2-5 years old)
- Familiarity with Montessori philosophy and materials
- Understanding of early childhood development
- Practicing Catholic who actively supports and lives the faith
- Appreciation for or experience with Classical education (or willingness to learn)
- Warm, patient, and joyful presence with children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
Montessori training or certification (AMS/AMI or similar)
ECE units or relevant coursework
Experience leading classroom activities independently
Start date:
August 2026 at the latest
