Custodial Staff - St. Mary Parish & School

St. Mary Parish & School seeks a dependable, service-minded Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for worship, learning, and community life. This role supports parish and school operations through daily care of facilities, event setup, and general maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
-Perform daily inspections (lighting, doors, HVAC, equipment checks)
Complete basic administrative tasks (logs, checklists, supply orders)
-Clean and maintain all parish and school facilities (floors, surfaces, trash removal, spills)
-Set up and clean spaces for Mass, school functions, and events (including evenings/weekends)
-Perform seasonal and deep-cleaning tasks (floors, windows, painting, carpets)
-Maintain grounds (lawn care, snow removal, exterior upkeep)
-Assist with minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC maintenance)
-Monitor facility conditions and report major repair needs
-Collaborate with staff and volunteers

Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
-Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
-Valid driver's license
-Strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills
-Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
-Detail-oriented with a strong service mindset

Physical & Other Requirements
-Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding work
-Availability for evenings/weekends as needed
-Background check and Safe Environment training required
