Job Description

Arlington, Virginia (On-Site)

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview
The Executive & Administrative Assistant will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the President and the GCHR leadership team. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth daily functioning of the organization and supporting its international advocacy efforts.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, discreet, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Administrative & Operational Support
-Manage office administrative tasks and internal organization
-Coordinate travel arrangements (booking flights, hotels, transportation)
-Track and control organizational expenditures
-Assist with processing payments and managing contracts
-Support internal compliance and recordkeeping

2. Financial & Documentation Support
-Help monitor budgets and expenses
-Maintain records of invoices and payments
-Organize contracts and legal documentation
-Ensure proper documentation of institutional activities

3. Executive Support
-Provide direct administrative support to the President of GCHR
-Support documentation and organization of legal and policy materials

Qualifications
-Citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. required
-Ability to work fully on-site in Arlington, Virginia
-Commitment to the mission and values of the organization is a must. Long-term alignment is essential
-Fluency in Spanish and English is required
-Strong organizational and multitasking skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-High level of discretion and professionalism
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
-Experience supporting senior executives is a plus
-Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent professional experience)

-Strong sense of responsibility and exceptional attention to detail
-High level of ownership and follow-through
-Prior administrative experience strongly preferred
