5th and 6th Grade Intermediate Teacher

Job Description

St. Mary's Parish School is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven teacher for an Intermediate Teacher for Grades 5 and 6. The position will be for Grade 6 homeroom, Social Studies,and Religion in addition to Grades 5 & 6 ELA/Literature. The candidate should be willing to embrace the unique vocation of teaching within a Catholic school setting. This teacher will play a vital role in helping students develop strong skills while also integrating Catholic values and fostering moral and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

-Plan and deliver engaging, standard aligned lessons in for Grade 5/6 ELA/Literature, Grade 6 Social Studies and Religion.

-Foster a classroom environment that reflects Catholic values, respect, and a love of learning

-Integrate faith-based perspectives where appropriate across the curriculum

-Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely assessments, feedback and support

-Communicate effectively with students, parents, team teacher, and colleagues

-Collaborate with faculty and participate actively in school life and community events

-Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive, disciplined, and nurturing environment
