Director of Music Ministries

Job Description

Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church Community in Defiance, Ohio is seeking a Director of Music Ministries. The Community is loving and caring; the Parishioners are faith-filled, and love to sing.

The Saint John's Parish has a well-established music program, consisting of an Adult Choir, Youth Choir, and seasonal Children's Choir. The existing music Ministry is strong, and a new candidate could easily walk in and maintain or build what is in place.

The position's responsibilities include overseeing the music program, teaching/directing the choir, and playing for weddings/funerals. An ideal applicant will possess keyboard proficiency, choral directing skills, a desire to continue the Congregation's interest in singing, ability to manage and organize, teach, lead, and inspire.

This position can be part-time or full-time, depending on the needs and desires of the candidate. Salary will be commensurate with education, skills, and experience.
