Job Description

We seek a passionate and experienced Middle School Language Arts Teacher with a background in the field to join our dedicated faculty. The successful candidate instructs students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, fostering critical thinking and language development. The teacher will design lessons, assess student progress, and promote a love for literature and effective communication.
Job Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver rigorous and engaging ELA lessons for middle school students. (Grades 6-8)
Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
Foster a positive, growth-mindset classroom environment that promotes active student participation and collaboration.
Utilize diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, fostering active participation and critical thinking through discussions, debates, group activities, and project-based learning.
Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary connections and promote a cohesive educational experience for students.
Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in Language Arts education.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field. A master's degree is a plus.
New Jersey State teaching certification.
Demonstrated experience teaching middle school Language Arts.
Rich knowledge of reading and writing pedagogy, literary analysis, English grammar, and Presentation Skills.
Dedication to supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
