Job Description
The Cathedral of the Madeleine seeks a Liturgy Administrator to manage the planning and day-to-day execution of all Cathedral liturgies. The successful Catholic candidate for this full-timeposition will be a punctual, detail-oriented individual who interacts warmly with fellow staff and volunteer ministers, manages both long-term planning and the challenging situations that arise
in the immediate term, and maintains and secures the necessary equipment and supplies for the many and varied Cathedral celebrations. Reporting to the Director of Liturgy and Music, the
Administrator also oversees the work of an assistant and the sacristans, recruits, schedules, and trains liturgical ministers, and collaborates with the Choir School on its liturgical needs. Primary
duties include the production of all service leaflets in keeping with branding and communications standards; the electronic scheduling of liturgical ministers and regular communication with them; and the weekly preparation of presider books and other materials
needed for services. Experience managing events or supporting live productions (such as stage management, sound, or event coordination) is preferred. Candidates should be able to
translate plans into a well-executed worship experience. Knowledge of and experience with desktop publishing software, such as InDesign, and a general facility with musical notation are required.
