Preschool Teacher

Job Description

St. Catharine Preschool is seeking joyful and inspiring Preschool Teacher to support the Catholic faith and academic excellence of our preschool working with children ages 2.5 to 5 years. Knowledge of Reggio Emilia and early childhood experience is recommended.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• Successful background check and fingerprinting required before employment
• Schedule: 20-25 hours per week
Responsibilities
• Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with or training in the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education
• The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, faith-based learning environment that supports the spiritual, academic, and social development of our youngest learners
• Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction following school curriculum guidelines
• Maintain a positive, structured, and caring classroom environment
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to support student learning and well-being
• Creating a nurturing, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Supporting the spiritual, emotional, social, and cognitive development of young children
• Fostering curiosity, independence, wonder, and joy
• Thoughtfully integrating Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom life
