Job Description
The Saint Joseph Foundation (SJF) is seeking a Case Administrator to work full-time out of its Hopedale, OH office. The successful individual will be a dynamic, high-energy critical thinker with excellent research and communication (oral and written) skills, well organized, able to work in a collaborative environment, self-motivated, and able to multi-task. Candidate must have a strong Catholic faith life. The position could be identified as a paralegal in Canon Law. No formal training or knowledge of Canon Law is necessary. The position requires familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Preference is given to those who have training or experience in Canon Law and with at least an undergraduate degree in Canon Law, Philosophy, Theology, or pre-law studies. Consideration will be given to those with a Bachelor's degree in any field of study. Full compensation package with salary, paid leave, health insurance, and other benefits provided. The Saint Joseph Foundation (SJF) was founded in 1984 with the mission: "To assist the Faithful in the vindication of their rights under Canon Law. To defend Catholic Truth and uphold Catholic rights." SJF is a service apostolate. The majority of its clientele come from North America, with historical clientele from all inhabited continents. SJF publishes a variety of informational literature, as well as a periodic newsletter, Christifidelis.
The Case Administrator is a permanent position with advancement opportunity available.
A primary focus of SJF is to maintain its response capabilities in the presence of shifting situations in the Church today. The Case Administrator (CA) position is at the forefront of our work. The CA works directly with our clientele and the SJF canon lawyers to pursue and implement canonical strategies intended to resolve disputes within the Church as intended by Christ (C.f. Mt. 18:15-17). The position requires the CA to work from our Hopedale, OH office, located 18 miles from Steubenville. The office is shared with Catholics United for the Faith (cuf.org).
