Job Description

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Academy is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Grade 3 Homeroom Teacher who is committed to academic excellence, student growth, and the mission and values of Catholic education.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as the Grade 3 Homeroom Teacher, creating a welcoming, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
Teach Mathematics and Science to students in Grades 3 and 4 as part of a departmentalized instructional model.
Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
Use assessment data to monitor student progress and provide appropriate differentiation and intervention.
Maintain effective classroom management and clear expectations for student learning and behavior.
Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and families regarding student progress.
Collaborate with the Grade 4 teacher, administration, and support staff to ensure instructional consistency and student success.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and activities that support the Catholic identity and mission of the Academy.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required.
Master's degree preferred or currently working toward an advanced degree.
New York State teaching certification preferred, on pathway
Strong knowledge of elementary Mathematics and Science instruction.
Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varying academic needs.
Commitment to working collaboratively within a Catholic school community.
