Pastoral Associate

Job Description

St. Ann - South Chesterfield is seeking a faith-filled, compassionate, and organized Pastoral Associate to provide pastoral care, coordinate parish ministries, and lead social outreach efforts in support of our parish community.

The Pastoral Associate collaborates with the pastor, deacon, staff, and consultative bodies in implementing the mission of the parish.

The ideal candidate must be a Catholic in good standing with a bachelor's degree and education and/or 1-2 years of experience in theology, social work, pastoral ministry, or a related field. Experience working with underserved populations is preferred.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and principles, as well as spiritual and sacramental practices within the Roman Catholic tradition.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong pastoral presence, compassion, empathy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with individuals and families.

Strong organizational, budgeting, record-keeping, and volunteer leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize responsibilities, and effectively manage multiple tasks.
