Job Description

The Eagle's Wings Retreat Center ("EWRC") Executive Director ("ED") provides the overall staff leadership for the operation, promotion, and fundraising at EWRC. The ED leads all staff (full-time and part-time). The ED also ensures the creation, development, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of EWRC's programs and activities, as set forth in the EWRC bylaws, policies, or as may be directed by the EWRC board of directors. All ED functions and activities are performed consistent with the spirit of the EWRC mission and vision.

1. Champion EWRC's mission, vision and directives, by and with the guidance of a board of directors.

2. With the EWRC board of directors, develop short-term goals and strategic plans and objectives.

3. Manage and protect the fiscal health of the corporation through appropriate financial management.

4. Provide daily leadership and oversight for EWRC staff and volunteers.

5. Oversee the components of EWRC's ministry, including facility rental, retreat ministry, development, and operational and facility management.

6. Ensure the promotion of EWRC to key constituents and organizations. Assure EWRC's mission, programs, products, and services are presented in a positive ongoing manner and
in accordance with EWRC's policies and strategic plan.

7. Submit annual measurable goals and objectives during each 1st quarter board meeting.

8. Prepare and present 5-year strategic plan considerations at each 4th quarter board meeting.
