Youth Coordinator

Summary
We are looking for a youth coordinator who loves Jesus and His Church, this age group, and is willing to do what it takes to build an on-fire youth ministry that furthers the larger mission and vision of St. Edward Parish. Our emphasis right now is middle school age but we also desire something for our high school and young adults in the future.

Key Information
Reports to: Pastoral Associate
Status: Part-time. 20 hours a week. $16-20 per hour

Competencies/Requirements
Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing
Knowledge of Church doctrine and practice
Strong in organization, communication, people skills, and problem-solving
Proficiency with computer programs and social media (or willing to learn)
Manage, plan, and track a yearly budget (or willing to learn)
Able to maintain confidentiality
Able to work nights and weekends, as needed
Ongoing pastoral and educational formation through the Archdiocese or other qualified Catholic program

Responsibilities
Coordinate the youth group and youth events
Organize and promote youth events
Recruit and manage volunteers
Manage yearly budget for the Youth Ministry
Collaborate with our Hispanic Youth Ministry Coordinator, as needed Stay connected with Archdiocese Office of Youth and Young Adults
Work with other Pastoral Staff as needed
And other duties assigned by the Pastoral Associate and/or Pastor

Qualifications
Experience working with youth or related ministries (with references) Experience in a leadership role (with references)
A certificate in Catechesis (or related field) or higher, is preferred
Believe, live, and willing to teach the moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church
Safe Environment Trained (or willing to be) and Background Check
