ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, typically those giving $5,000+ annually.
Prepare compelling major gift proposals and presentations tailored to donors' philanthropic interests and goals.
Identify, research, and qualify new major gift prospects, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Develop personalized donor engagement strategies based on giving history, interests, and capacity.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with major donors through personalized one-on-one meetings, calls, text messages, and emails.
Engage donors through events, ministry tours, impact reports, and direct interactions with leadership and program staff. Some evening and weekend meetings required.
Works collaboratively with Catholic Charities Senior Leadership, Board of Directors/Committee members, and other Agency departments in developing and implementing fundraising strategic plans, priorities and objectives.
Reflects Catholic Charities' commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect.
Experience in fundraising, including demonstrated ability to identify, solicit, and obtain sponsors and gifts. Familiarization with various philanthropic vehicles (i.e. planned-giving, donor advised funds, etc.).
Understand the importance and factors related to stewardship and donor engagement. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with a variety of constituents through excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation and storytelling abilities.
Ability to enthusiastically promote Catholic Charities' mission and services.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and familiarization with CRM software (i.e. Raiser's Edge).
Demonstrated ability in project management and delivery, including meeting deadlines.
Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field from accredited four-year college or university; and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MINISTERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043). Refrain from public promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary: $80,000-$90,000 annually

Schedule: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.

Training: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career.
