Position Overview:
Chelsea Academy invites applications for a part-time 8th Grade Earth Science teaching position for the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate will guide middle school students in exploring
the natural world and contribute to the vibrant intellectual and spiritual life of the school.

Teaching Responsibilities:
• Teach one section of our 8th Grade Earth Science curriculum (including topics such as geology, meteorology, oceanography, and astronomy).
• Design and oversee safe, engaging laboratory experiments and hands-on field observations that bring scientific concepts to life.

Qualifications:
• A practicing Catholic in good standing with a deep commitment to the mission and identity of Chelsea Academy.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Science Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) with the ability to integrate scientific study within a liberal arts framework.
• Commitment to the vision, mission, and Catholic identity of Chelsea Academy.
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills, particularly with middle school learners.
• Enthusiasm for mentoring students and participating in the broader life of the school.
• A love of teaching and learning rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition.
• Ability to inspire students to think critically, reason logically, and appreciate the unity of truth across disciplines.
• Ability to be flexible in a smaller-school environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work as a team player with teachers and staff.
