Job Description

OLPH-St. Agnes Parish, in the Atlantic Highlands, NJ, is currently seeking applicants for part-time Coordinator of Religious Education working 20-25 hours per week. The qualified candidate will develop, maintain and administer the program designed for students in grades 1-8. The Catechetical leader is also responsible for family catechesis, as well as Reconciliation, Communion and Confirmation preparation. The CRE will recruit, train and lead catechists while working closely with the Pastor in advancing the mission in the Parish. The CRE will also manage the Diocese Safe Environment -Virtus program for the Parish.

The successful candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. Proven leadership skills, effective oral and written communication skills and proficient computer skills. A bachelor's degree is required for this position. He/she must be flexible with their work schedule, willing to work some evenings and occasional weekends. This is a part-time hourly position that offers paid time off but is not eligible for medical benefits. The salary offered is based on experience and skills and will range from $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.
